Ave Maria Press
Founded May 1, 1865 by Father Edward Sorin, C.S.C. — the same Holy Cross priest who founded the University of Notre Dame — Ave Maria Press is one of the oldest Catholic publishing houses in the United States. Originally launched with the Ave Maria magazine, the press serves the spiritual and formative needs of the Church, its schools, institutions, and ministers, as well as individuals and families seeking spiritual nourishment.
