Veritas Communications
Veritas traces its origins to the Catholic Truth Society of Ireland, founded in 1899 to publish and distribute religious materials to the Irish people. The Veritas Company was formally established in 1928 with a shop on Lower Abbey Street in Dublin. Owned by the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference, Veritas was Ireland's leading religious publisher and retailer. In February 2024 Veritas announced it was winding down all operations, and by early 2025 all stores had closed.
