Founded on May 5, 1912 by Father John Francis Noll — later Archbishop — who bought a printing press for $1 in Huntington, Indiana to defend the Catholic faith against rampant anti-Catholic sentiment. OSV grew from a weekly newspaper into the largest Catholic publishing company in the United States, today serving more than 17,000 faith-based clients through publishing, parish operations, consulting, and communications.
