The Catechetical Accompaniment Process

The Work Behind Every Declaration

Faithful catechesis is the fruit of collaboration.

The Catechetical Accompaniment Process (CAP) brings together publishers, theologians, reviewers, and bishops in service to the Church's mission of evangelization and catechesis.

A Declaration of Conformity represents not simply a review, but the work of many people serving a common mission.

Why This Process Exists

Serving the faithful transmission of the faith.

For decades, publishers, catechetical leaders, theologians, reviewers, and bishops have collaborated to help ensure that catechetical materials faithfully present the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The Catechetical Accompaniment Process exists to support that work through dialogue, collaboration, and careful discernment in service to the Church.
